Docs & view tracking
Shared docs like proposals, price lists and quotes — not just sent, but tracked: who opened them, and when.
Docs
Assets is where you keep the documents you send customers — proposals, price lists, quotes. It doesn't stop at sending: each asset gets a share link that records who opened it, when, and how long they stayed.
Add a doc
Tap the + Asset button at the bottom right to create one. The fields are as follows.
- Title — a name you'll recognize the asset by.
- Type — choose from intro deck, price list, proposal, quote, case study, or onboarding. It's used to classify in the list and search.
- PDF file (optional) — upload a PDF directly. Up to 20MB per file, PDF format only.
- External document URL (optional) — link to a document hosted elsewhere, like Google Slides or Notion.
- Body — type the content directly when there's no URL or PDF.
Create a share link
On each asset card, tap Create share link to issue a link unique to that asset. Links look like botn.app/d/<token>; use Copy to copy it and send by text, email or messenger.
- Issue a different link per customer to tell who opened it, link by link.
- Tap Show links on the card to see the links you've issued and the view count for each.
- The top of the card shows the total link count and overall view count.
Email-gated link
Tap Email-gated link to create a link that asks for an email before the document opens. The submitted email is saved alongside that view record.
- When emails have been collected, a N collected emails · add to contacts button appears so you can review viewers and move them into your contacts at once.
- If the entered email matches an existing contact, a “viewed the document” note is automatically left on that contact's timeline.
Reading the view analytics
Each view records how long the viewer stayed and how far they read, and the card shows the averages.
- Average read time — the average time viewers spent on the asset.
- Average read percentage — on average, how far through the asset viewers got (%).
- Views without a measurement (e.g. closed almost immediately) are automatically excluded from the averages.
Edit & delete
Use Edit on the card to change the title, type, file, URL or body, and the trash icon to delete. Deleting also clears that asset's share links and any uploaded PDF.
