Notes
Notes capture what was said in calls and meetings, so the context comes right back next time you talk.
Budget confirmed, comparing competitors…
What notes do
A note is a per-contact memo of what was said in a call or meeting. Once it’s in, the context comes right back the next time you talk to that person.
Every note belongs to one contact; you can write one from the contact card or from a deal detail — both show the same contact’s notes.
Writing a note
- Open the Consult notes box on the contact card. On mobile, tap it to expand into a full-screen editor.
- Right after the call, jot down the key needs, budget, decision-maker, agreed next steps and any cautions.
- Tap Save and the note stacks into the contact’s timeline in chronological order.
From the list under the box you can edit a saved note with the pencil icon or remove it with the trash icon. Your memory is sharpest right after the call — don’t put it off.
Discovery templates (BANT, MEDDIC)
The BANT and MEDDIC buttons above the box drop a placeholder checklist into the body. Fill in the blanks to make sure you didn’t skip a question.
- BANT — Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline
- MEDDIC — Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, Champion
The button appends the checklist below your existing text without erasing it. You can also drop it in before a call and fill it in as you talk.
AI tidy
After scribbling a rough memo, tap AI tidy to clean it up. It analyzes the memo and pulls out a summary plus needs, budget, decision-maker and next step, then fills the box with them.
Seeing notes in the timeline
A saved note appears in the contact’s activity timeline alongside registration, quotes, deals, bookings and tasks, in time order. On a deal detail, the contact’s notes show in one flow together with stage-change history.
When you move a deal’s stage, the change is auto-logged as a note in the timeline, so you can later trace which stage happened when.
Tips from the field
- Leave at least one line the moment a call ends. Pair it with one next action and the follow-up never drops.
- Write facts like the decision-maker, budget and competitors as-is, and mark guesses as guesses so the next call isn’t muddled.
- If silence drags on, don’t stop at a note — send them into a sequence to keep the follow-up going.
Works offline
Notes save to your device first and sync automatically once you’re online. Even in spots with weak signal, writing, editing and deleting take effect right away and reconcile with the server later.
